FIBin vuosikokouksen yhteydessä pidettävä Bioteollisuus Forum -seminaari pidettiin to 11.4.2013 Eteläranta 10, Ravintola Palace Gourmet Konferenssisalissa. Tilaisuuden puheenjohtajana toimi FIBin hallituksen puheenjohtaja Timo Veromaa.

Technology, engineering and project management company Neste Jacobs Oy and enzyme company Roal Oy have signed a contract covering the expansion of the existing enzyme production plant in Rajamäki, Finland. Roal’s enzyme production plant serves food, clothing, feed and pulp & paper processing industries globally.

The level of bioscience education in Finnish universities is high, but the employment rate of bioscientists is worrying. The students need transferable skills to advance their employment, and the biotechnology sector needs governmental support to create jobs and develop into a blooming industry sector.
